Day 15: Big progress today. There is a feeling of satisfaction in the air as we can finally start to really see the garden taking shape. This is a great feeling after four days of digging and sorting rocks and sand. This is definitely harder work though. The rocks are heavy. However, the wall grows fast. We set the hose in place and lay the pond liner and continue the wall the wall around the base of the waterfall.
Day 16 : We continue to build the rock, curving the wall around the stairs.
Day 17: Today I assemble the waterfall. I am using a waterfall spillway which can be covered with soil and rocks. Perfect for a small garden. I think it would take too much space to have an upper pond, which you then need to disguise with rocks and plants. With the spillway, we will have more planting area and hopefully it will be easier to disguise. We test the waterfall using the garden hose.
